The short version

We ask for your first name and email so we can send you the 10 Rules and tell you what's coming. We don't sell your information to anyone, ever. We use two tools that watch how the site gets used so we can make it better. You can leave whenever you want and we'll delete you if you ask.

Who we are

Seafood Mafia, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Questions, requests, or complaints go to hello@seafoodmafia.co and a human reads them.

What we collect, and when

• When you join the family: your first name and email address. That's it — no phone number, no address, no payment details.
• When you use the partnership form: your name, email, company name, and whatever you write in the message.
• Where you came from: if you arrive from a link we've tagged (an Instagram bio link, for instance), we record that source so we know which channels actually work.
• Technical basics: like every website, our host records IP addresses, browser type, and pages requested in its server logs.

We never ask for more than we need, and there is no hidden field on any form.

Cookies and session recording

Two analytics tools run on this site, and both use cookies:

• Microsoft Clarity records anonymous session replays and heatmaps — where people scroll, click, and hesitate. We run it in Strict masking mode, which means the text on the page and anything typed into a form is hidden before it ever reaches Microsoft's servers. We can see that someone filled in the signup form; we cannot see what they typed.
• Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and which sources send them.

You can block both with any standard tracker-blocking extension, or by using your browser's private mode. Nothing on this site breaks if you do — the signup form works fine with every analytics tool blocked.

Who else touches your information

We don't sell, rent, or trade your data. We do use service providers to run the operation, and they only handle what they need to:

• GoHighLevel — our CRM. It stores your contact record and sends our email.
• Google Workspace — our own inbox, so we can read and reply to you.
• Vercel — hosting. Serves the pages and keeps standard server logs.
• Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics — as described above.

Cross-border note: these providers are based in the United States, so your information is stored and processed outside Canada and is subject to the laws there. Signing up means you're okay with that.

Email, and how to stop it

Joining the family means you're consenting to receive email from Seafood Mafia — the 10 Rules, and occasional notes about what's coming, what's good right now, and things we think are worth your time. We send when we have something to say, not on a schedule.

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also just email hello@seafoodmafia.co with "unsubscribe" and we'll take care of it. Either way you're out, and we don't make you explain yourself.

Your consent to hear from Seafood Mafia applies to Seafood Mafia only. We run other businesses; being on this list does not put you on theirs.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you,
• correct it if it's wrong,
• delete it entirely,
• or withdraw your consent at any time.

Email hello@seafoodmafia.co and we'll action it. No forms, no hoops. We keep your contact record until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.

Kids

This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If that's happened, email us and it's gone.

Changes

If we change this page we'll update the date at the top. If we ever change something that materially affects how we handle your information, we'll email the family rather than quietly editing this page.
